Laughter is an antidote to pain and unhappiness. The power of laughter should never be underestimated. Laughter clinics have been set up in various places and research has shown that laughter is even an aid to recovery from ill health.
When something makes you laugh, your spirits are lifted and a feeling of well-being is promoted. Your mind and your body both respond positively to laughter and this is a very powerful demonstration of the way in which the mind and body are in constant communication.
Your mind works upon your body and your body works upon your mind. There is a constant flow of communication going backwards and forwards between your brain and the rest of your body. There are therefore many ways in which you can use your mind to promote healing and well-being in your body.
Laughter is one way in which you can use your mind to create a positive impact upon your physical body. It doesn't matter what makes you laugh. Watch a funny movie, listen to a comedian at work or tell some jokes.
Some people always look to see the funny side of things whilst others do not. It is inevitable that those who seek out humor will find more fun and laugh more often than those who do not. Everyone has the power to choose to seek out fun and to laugh a lot.
The majority of toddlers spend a whole lot of time laughing and so be assured that to laugh is a natural ability. You can stimulate your own natural ability to laugh simply by choosing to do so. That may sound very simple, but this is all you need to do.
Simply seek out things that are bound to make your laugh and plan to laugh as many times as you can each and every day. You will reap a whole range of rewards. You will feel lighter and brighter. You will feel more positive. You will inevitably be a lot happier than before and don't forget the very real benefits to your health.
If you feel that you have gotten into a negative rut and you just cannot find a way in which to laugh and have fun then it is important to find a way in which to step back and refocus your attention. Hypnosis is extremely useful when you wish to change instinctive patterns of thought, feelings and behavior.
Hypnosis allows you to access your subconscious mind, which is the part of your mind where instinctive and automatic thoughts and behavior are stored. With hypnosis you can access these deep rooted thoughts and feelings and set about changing them. Suggestions can be made to shift your focus and lift your mood.
