Give No Room For Excuse

By Clement Sadjere
People find it easy, blaming others for their misfortunes. Some blame their poor background, lack of education, ill luck, destiny or lack of opportunities for their failure to become successful. The truth however, is that there is no basis for your excuse.
I lost my Dad when I was barely nineteen years of age, and things were look gloomy then, but before he died, he advised that I should strive to become the best in whatever I do. I had enough reasons to fail, but i choose to forge ahead without looking back. It took me fifteen years to realize the importance of my late father advise.
I have carefully outlined four practical steps towards attaining success in the midst of limitations. Carefully study and implement these steps and share the joy and excitement with others.

Dreams and Determination
  • It takes a dream, a determination and a willingness to use your God given assets properly to make it in life. There is a whole world of opportunities available for serious minded entrepreneurs to tap into.
  • Never look at yourself as been disadvantaged.
  • Steve Wonder, the talented Musician with a collection of award winning albums, may be blind, but never gave any excuse for not succeeding in his chosen career.
  • Hold on to your dream and be determined to succeed where others have previously failed
Look inward
  • You are the architect of your own fortune or misfortune.
  • You were created by God with intellect and spiritual resources.
  • With the load of gifts and talents God has bestowed on you, you have no reason to fail!
  • God is even annoyed seeing you wasting the abundant talents and gifts he has bestowed on you. We owe God an obligation to succeed in life.
  • Look inward and tap into that abundant resources that have been lying fallow.

Be prepared for a rough Journey

  • The road to success may be rough and narrow, filled with so many bumps, but it is not an excuse to take the easy route.
  • Every long distance athlete knows that he/she must train very hard. The training involves jogging through the rough mountain paths and overcoming pains and fatigue.
  • As they journey on their path to winning the ultimate prize, they have countless reasons to give up and try another day, but the hunger, the preparation and the desire to make it to the end far outweigh the temptation to give up.

Be prepared for criticism

  • The man who makes a success of an important venture never waits for the crowd. He strikes out for himself.
  • It takes nerve, and a resolute spirit; but the man that succeeds has both. Anyone can fail.
  • The public admires the man who has enough confidence in himself to take a chance. These chances are the main things after all.
  • The man who tries to succeed must expect to be criticized.
  • Never expect a warm reception as you aspire to your place of success.

Success is the accomplishment of that which most people think cannot be done. Give yourself a thousand and one reasons why you must succeed in life. Stay motivated and choose to succeed, and succeed you will.
